WHAT IS SINGLE CUT

Few reasons that make single cut more attractive to jewellers than full cut.

1) Facets:

Single cut diamonds have only 17 or 18 facets (including the culet and table). They typically have a flat table and a pointed culet.

Full cut diamonds have a greater number of facets, typically 57 or 58 (including the culet and table).

2) Size:

Single cut diamonds usually smaller in size compared to full cut diamonds. Mostly 0.60 to 1.50 mm.

Full cut diamonds generally starting from 1.00 mm and up Due to the increased number of facets.

3) Usage:

Single cut diamonds are often use in watches, micro and antique jewellery, as they were popular in the early 20th century.

Full cut diamonds are more commonly found in modern jewellery settings.

4) Price:

Single cut diamonds known for its reasonable price compare to full cut. Single cut is a first choice for jewellery manufacturer to maintain jewellery cost and bulk production.

Full cut diamonds is more expensive and volatile price than single cut. So, it’s difficult to provide pocket friendly price to end user and every time.
